Madi-Okollo District is located in the centre of West Nile region of Uganda. The Nile River, Amuru and Adjumani Districts form its Eastern border, Obongi and Yumbe Districts forms its northern border, and Arua and Terego Districts form its western border. Madi Okollo District borders Zombo, Nebbi and Pakwach Districts on its southern border. Madi Okollo District is located approximately 58 kilometers (36 miles) by road, southeast of Arua, the largest city in the sub-region, on the Arua – Pakwach Road. The distance from the district headquarters to Kampala via Pakwach and Karuma is 616 Km
